[Hallicrafters] how to power up old radio with variac

It's not a very good idea to power up a 60+ year old radio without replacing
electrolytics and paper capacitors. However if you insist on doing it, put
a 60-75 watt light bulb in SERIES in the 120V line. This will limit current
and save your transformer in case an electrolytic shorts.
