There is a place near me that does powder coating and I
stopped in to ask about the service. Turns out they stock
certain colors and the price if very reasonable if you use
the stock colors.
However, if you choose something they do not stock, you pay
for what is ordered, no matter how little of it they use.
The place in next door to a powder coat manufactuer and they
just have to walk in to get the new stuff. Prices varied a
bit depending on the color, but as I recall, it was
expensive. Say for an HT 44 the amount they had to buy
would have been about 600 dollars.
The one near you may stock a color that is a match for what
you need, but I would ask what the charge is should they
order the tint you need.
