David,
What capacitors are these?

I am going to try making a fiberglass adjusting tool from the shaft of a
driveway reflector marker pole. These are red or blue reflector things
mounted on a rod about 36 inches long - get them at the hardware store I
guess. The poles are about 1/4 inch in diameter. I'll use a bench grinder
to get the screw-driver shaped tip the right shape.
An alternative is the fiberglass poles sold at farm stores for electric
fences. BUT: watch out.. these things will fill your hands with glass
fibers and it's NOT NICE. Wear leather gloves. These things are thicker
about 3/8 inch in diameter. If you have to use this stuff, plan on a coat
of varnish or heat shrink tubing to keep the teensy fibers from making trouble.
Both these materials might break or wear out fast if the screws are tough
to move. In that case, get a bit of hacksaw blade - the flat portion, and
epoxy into a slot cut in the end of the fiberglass rod.
