[Hallicrafters] SX-28 Under Chassis

Here's a shot of the underside of the chassis on the SX-28 I received 
yesterday:

It looks relatively untouched, with all the paper capacitors still in 
place. On the
underside of the case is marked "Sold March 21, 1964".

Here is a shot of the modification work that has been done to the ANL:

there's a can with a few coax cables going into it, and the can is held on
to the chassis side by a nut and bolt. Next job: remove that and take
a look inside. Perhaps whoever did the mod has thoughtfully secreted
the ANL knob inside that can? Well, I can dream ...
