Use a filament transformer (6.3 or 12.6 vac) and hook it to the black leads.  
Measure the voltages on the other leads.  You should be able to multiply 
those voltages by "120 divided by 6.3" to determine the actual outputs.  This is 
safer than messing around with full voltage on an unknown transformer's 
condition.
