Please join us on Saturday January 13th for the Halligan's Hallicrafters
International 40 meter Net. Speaking of "international", where have all the
Canadian stations gone to? We used to have a good number of VE3 check ins,
some VE4 and once in a while a VE2. Maybe the skip does not stop here
anymore!
The pre-Net is at 12:30 PM EST, (1730 UTC). This is the time during which
uncounted unidentified stations tune up on top of whomever is trying to
engage in a QSO, but never join us! Heck it is not even a good tune up
frequency for band cruising and "How's my signal hittin' ya?"!
The Net proper commences at 1:00 PM EST, (1800 UTC). The frequency is 7.280
MHZ lsb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and sometimes heard suspected
Alien transmissions using a never before heard form of CW. Actually just a
straight key with a tension return spring that has a nervous twitch from
failing tensile strength generating some dots, dashes and "what the heck was
dat dit, dah?"
We hope to hear you tomorrow, so check on in and say "Hey!". The HHI Net
reports will now list your TX and RX, or transceiver, so if it is vintage or
not, please let whomever the NCS is, know.
If you have not gotten the final HHRP releases, check the web site and do
so!
