Dear Paul:

       If all of the other suggestions do not correct the problem, the
culprit is most likely in the VFO.  In the grid circuit of the VFO there are
2 or 3 mica capacitors, some of which are temperture compensating.  I had
this same problem in my HT37, my HT 32A and both of my SR 150's.  I can't
remember off the top of my head how many capacitors there are for sure but
when you go into it you may as well replace them all.  Don't ignore the
temperature compensating properties, otherwise the baby will really drift.
