Just for the heck of it, I went to Mike's site, found his email address and
sent him a message.

Did the person who acquired your extensive collection ever get it set up and
available for viewing? Do you have his email address? Did you keep the
equipment shown in the first picture on your amateur radio page? That
"console" is a very nice piece of work.
Thanks es 73,
Chris

Here is what he sent back.

Thanks so much for looking at my website. Yours is the first comment I have
received on it in six years!
Actually, the desk and most of the equipment on it were acquired after I
lost the collection. I spent a couple of years deciding on just what I
wanted for "The Desk" and then I actively pursued them.
Dave has the collection very neatly displayed in a building he built
especially for it. You can reach him at

Sorry I do not know his email address.

Again, thank you for your comment.

Cordially,
Mike W7ASF

If anyone lives near Monmouth, which is about 15 miles west of Salem, and
decides to arrange a visit, please give a report on the experience.

Duane,
I believe you are talking about Mike Horvath W7ASF (formerly KA7ASF),
altho,visiting his site,
(http://www.wvi.com/~jfiske/amateurradio.htm) I see he has sold his
collection to someone (whom he doesn't name) who is setting up a museum.
Mike collected anything and everything and was a regular on the West
Coast Swap Net on 7240 for years. He had filled several semi trailers
with radios.
I sold him some stuff and bought my first FPM 200 from him some time in
the early 90s for the outrageous sum of $550.00.
73,
Chuck
