[Hallicrafters] A unique SX-28??

Hi Bill,
I have never seen an SX-28 made in that fashion. Of course there may
have been some. Going on that, and this is pure speculation(wild guess)
maybe it was an early model or an upgraded version. As you may know, the
band switch knob can not turn 360 degrees due to the way the pointers behind
the lighted dials are set to operate. Another guess would be that it was an
addition that was made by a previous owner to stop the 360 degree rotation.
The stops to normally do this are located on the back of the radio at the
rear of band switch.

Please let us know what you find out.

73 and Merry Christmas

Would anyone have any information on what appears to be a rather unique
SX-28?
The unit in question uses a knob with a metal pointer for the bandchange
knob.
I might have thought someone replace the original bandchange knob with
this except
that the panel has a small post which prohibits the band change knob
from rotating through 360.

thanks
