[Hallicrafters] sx-73 (r-274)

In the late 50s I was using a Space Spanner and my ham radio buddy  
was using an SX-73 that his uncle had brought home from the war.   
Needless to say, I was very impressed with the SX-73.

I haven't used one since, but as far as I remember, the only drawback  
was the lack of bandspread tuning, which made tuning a little twitchy  
at times.
