[Hallicrafters] Strange issue with my S-38A

Hello Ka Nai`a,
Put the radio into AM mode.
The BFO is connected when radio in CW mode. It will make a funny whistling noise all the time.
It's designed so that people could change the sound of morse code reception (commonly called CW or carrier wave). Hope this helps.
