[Hallicrafters] Strange issue with my S-38A

Ka Nai`a ,

Is your new location near a broadcast station or other strong RF source?

Perhaps something strong is getting directly into the IF.

Have you tried a tuned circuit on the input to see if it might help a bit?

Remember the radio is far from a very sophisticated one and in the presence
of strong signals will not perform the way we are used to RF selective
radios performing.
