I purchase old radios when I can afford to do so because I like them.

In a rather different price range, I own the oldest airplane of its type in
existence and first off the assembly line. Sought after? Yes, but by
Museums and organizations that would give me a very generous tax write off.
I'm retired and on a pension. Write offs I don't need, but cash would be
nice<:-))

I would sell *almost* any thing I own including the house and ham station,
but the catch is who ever plans on purchasing is going to have to want what
ever it is worse than I do. <:-))
