If you are forced to "roll your own" which would not be original, then you
might consider going with Teflon. Several years ago I built an amplifier
using the Svetlana 4CX800 tubes and made the chimneys from Teflon which is
not bothered by the heat or high DC/RF. When I needed it then, there were a
number of low cost suppliers of Teflon sheets on the web. You can use high
temperature RTV to cement the Teflon sheet into a cylindrical shape.

Hopefully at some point you will be able to find the correct chimney for the
HT-45 but this would at least make it safely operational at low cost while
you are searching for the real McCoy.

I have an SX-117 and HT-45 but I am still looking for the HT-44 to complete
the setup.

On a side note for those who have received gear with a "protective" coating
of nicotine, the scrubbing bubbles bathroom cleanser does a wonderful job of
nicotine removal. I picked up a Pierson KP-81 receiver and speaker/PS at a
hamfest and it not only a coating of nicotine but thicker buildup in places
that I was afraid was corrosion. The cleaner took everything off without
damage to the panel or case. I did clean the surface several times with
plain water just to make sure no corrosive residue was left behind.
