[Hallicrafters] Silver mica measurements

I wish that were the case however the Capacitance Tester I have is
practically brand new(Vellemann Model: DVM6243) and I have checked virgin
silver micas with it and found the unit to be consistantly accurate. I have
also checked it against another Capacitance Tester and they matched within
one or two nanofarads at the lowest of settings. I did find one or two that
were close in my SX-28, but I replaced them anyway because I had some newer
ones lying around that were within tolerance. I figure... seeing how I plan
on keeping this one that it is worth the effort.
Thanks for your help! :)

" I have measured capacitance on most of the silver micas in my radio
and found every one that I have measured to be out of tolerance. "
Rob,
I would suspect the method of measurement if ALL are out of
tolerance. How are you measuring and with what instrument. Most
people find silver micas very reliable.
