Hi Al,
    Thank you for responding.  It seems the forum is focused on 5U4s, 
Hallis in films, etc. and not always on helping advice.  Thanks for 
yours.
    I was able to remove the cover on the relay after looking at it from 
both sides.  The plastic cover has a couple of little bumps on each 
side which clip into the base.  I used a strip from a 3x5 card soaked 
in DeOxit and cleaned the contacts.  That seems to have fixed the relay 
problem.  The driver tuning seemed touchy so I cleaned the wipers on 
the condenser and maybe it's ok now.  There may still be a bit of 
problem in the driver circuitry.  Next I'll test it on the air, I've 
been transmitting into a Heath Cantenna.
