Tim,
Also with all due respect, I'm not sure how an eBay seller can price
gouge. I've sold a number of things there and I usually set my starting
price low and let the market determine its ultimate price. If I set the
initial price too high, it probably won't sell unless a buyer is willing.
Maybe you should be angry with buyers who pay more than you think is
reasonable ;-) Of course I'm not talking about sellers who lie about the
quality of their item. Those folks are everywhere, not just on eBay. It's
the buyers responsibility to be as smart as possible about their purchases
wherever they buy.
I've been doing eBay since 8/96. Back then eBay was called Auction Web.
Have I ever bid more than something was worth? Yep. Have I ever sold
something for more than I thought it was worth? Once. Wasn't anyones
fault. Who am I to say that someone can't over spend on something? It
happens all of the time in "this greatest country on Gods green Earth".
I can tell you this - If I had a few of those lovely 5U4's, I'd sell'em as
fast as I could for as much as I could so I could save up for an SX-88 or
SX-115!
As for the CB amps - I know they are illegal to use but are they illegal
to sell/buy?
