[Hallicrafters] Revolutionary Signal Generator

The Analog Devices AD9851 DDS chip covers 0 to 60mhz I think the earlier
chip the Analog Devices AD9850 DDS chip does 0 to 30mhz.

Am I correct Ross?

BTW I ordered the kit and my free chips from analog devices. Pretty damn
cool i'd say. Now, I just need to convert USB to serial and create some
software to run this thing. and voila! :)

Ross,
It sounds like a solid foundation for what Rob is proposing.
0-30MHz would fill half of the qualifications. How much effort
would be involved getting the if passband sweep? The kit from the
earlier post was a bit pricey in Australian dollars.
