Besides Hallicrafters I work on some modern gear and build some
demonstration fixtures for my ham radio classes.

The last week I have had a blast stocking up on parts.  Radio Shack is
closing some stores in our area.

The closing stores are putting their parts on sale.  Right now the parts in
the drawers (and as I found out some of the parts on the hooks) are on sale
for 40% off.  Plus, at least in my area, if you buy 26 or more parts they
take off an additional 30%. 

That's right, 70% off the parts if you buy 26 or more packages.

This sale also includes some of the RF adapters.  I got a BNC to SO-239 for
$2.22!!  It was priced at $3.17 which is 40% off list price.  Minus another
30% because I bought more then 26 items!!  A 7805 regulator was 66 cents.
