Hi Randy,

Basically, After that has been fixed then I need to align the radio
everything else has been done. I am still looking for some parts for my
SX-28:

A bandspread dial any condition as long as it is not broken the nomenclature
can be missing or rubbed off.

A Crystal Filter Knob and the chrome/aluminum trim for the cabinet.

Wow, what a find!  It's a good thing you had another one to compare it
to.
One wouldn't expect to find the ckt bd upside down, that's for sure.

IF can status update - Upon examining T2 on my radio and comparing it to
a
new one that was sent to me(Thanks Doug!) I immediately discovered the
problem. Apparently the guy that worked on this radio before my friend
John
and I had rewired T2 with the circuit board installed in the can upside
down
with wires going to the wrong connections. No wonder the Crystal filter
doesn't work at all! I have replaced T3 and it is working beautifully
now I
just need to set my radio side by side with my buddy John's so we can
install the new T2 can with the correct connections and I believe this
thing
will just take off after that.

If it should turn out that one or more of your IF cans are bad, I have
an
SX-28 donor carcass here that still has all the IF cans. If you need
one,
it's
yours. Glad your power transformer is OK because that part has already
been
given away. Likewise, I have no knobs, dials or S-meter, but I do have
IF
cans!
