Hey Phil,

I see you live in Merced, so why not bring your radios for "show and
tell" to the Merced CHRS radio meet in June. Here are the details:

June 24th, Saturday, 9 AM - Merced. Cliff’s Radio Warehouse. Corner of
13th and "X". From the North, take 99 South, exit at V St. turn right
and right again onto 13th St. Make the first right past the AM/PM
mini-market. Sellers fee applies. Come on down to Cliff’s, we always
have big fun! Thanks to Cliff Berthelsen. SWAP-MEET

I just happened to think that Cliff's Radio Warehouse might be
considered an AM/FM mini market....hahaha. If you have never been
there, Cliff's is a good place to buy parts, like tubes, knobs, etc.

Hmm,

Guess I'll never be a hoarder, it's kind of hard in a 14x11 radio room
that
must also serve as a music practice room, radio shop, etc. 8^) My
wife has
an expression about my radios, "They Cometh and they Go-eth".

Here the "hoard" of VINTAGE radios presently consists of National
models
NC-60, NC-188, just completed NC-183 and a Yaesu "Frog-7". Yes I
consider
the Yaesu vintage as it's a pre-PLL Wadley loop design, is large/heavy
for
SS, and with three SEPARATE tuning dials (Preselector, MHz Loop Lock
and
VFO) more like driving a "stick shift" than an automobile with an
automatic.

Maybe I ought to sell my "VERY RARE" National NC-60 and NC-188
receivers and
pay off that new truck I bought last December LOL.

73 de Phil, KO6BB
DX begins at the noise floor!
