I'm certain that he worked very hard to get that "effect" in the photo's.
In recent films, they put flaws into 100% computer generated scenes to
keep them from looking too-perfect. Things like lens flare, water on the
lens, camera shakes, out of focus. The real world is flawed.
It's like the difference between those horrid, posed and touched up
pictures of weddings and family gatherings where everyone is lined up
and standing stiffly and more natural, candid snapshots.
His pictures and the captions tell a fabulous story and reveal a sense
of humor, albeit bordering on a sickness.
That considered, it tells me to finish restoring a radio and sell it on
eBay before I find myself in that state. If I don't have time to
complete the restoration, to at least cull the herd.
