You know thats funny, if thats the best you can do to convince the vast
majority of hams that contests have a place," we show the bands are open"
your really barking up an absurd tree. Can you come up with any
justification for contesting other than " we use the bands". I do to
everyday, but I, like the majority of others sure don't need a contest to
prove the bands are open. Come up with something that follows " contests are
good and imported because".. and finnish the statement. "Not because we show
the bands are open", "not we use the bands", "not we communicate in tuff
conditions ( your 59 please repeat your call 15 times" , not that they prove
anything da, propagation is a well understood, not the FCC will take the
bands from us, "not it supports good international and internal ham
relations". So when you come up with how contests are important , needed and
good let us all know.
