Its good to see that good natured contest/casual op nonsense sucking up 
bandwidth here this weekend as well.

Have you tried listening to the net on any of a whole lot of contest 
weekends?  Do you think people ask if the frequency is in use before dumping a KW on 
for the challenge of working a G or a DL with a KW and 12 db of gain antenna, 
or a stateside QSO on other weekends?

I'm as tolerant as the next guy, but when people suggest the entire phone 
band might not need to be wiped out 10 or 15 weekends a year for such 
festivities, it doesn't seem like all that outrageous a proposition.  If guys want to 
compete with each other that badly, maybe it could be all that much more 
competitive in "narrow" 100 kc slice of 20 meters, couldn't it?

Back to recapping the SX96, in hopes it will magically transform the net 
frequency into useable condition sometime soon.
