Tis nothing!  Just got DVD's of the old Superman series and in one of the
series, where scientists, experimenting with nuclear power cause a reactor
to run out of control.  In order to stop the reaction from running away and
destroying the city, a control rod must be extracted from one location in
the nuclear pile and inserted in another location in the nuclear pile.

As conscientious and moral people, they must notify the city management of
this event (Metropolis).  One of the scientists gets on the "Shortwave" to
broadcast directly to the police and civil defense.  He is using and S-20r
as a transmitter but, sitting atop the s-20r are (2) CA-2 Aircraft
transceivers.  Nice view of all (3).

Of course, Clark Kent has a Halli on his desk, an S-20R to receive the
distress call and quickly dismisses Lois and Jimmy so he can change to
Superman to save the day.
