on the unmentionable place.  They are not interchangeable between the 6000
& 6000A!  They have a different number of pins on the plug and socket below
the chassis.  Twelve for the 6000 and thirteen for the 6000A as I remember.

It appears possible, though, to replace the plug on the red socket island
or subchassis from a 6000, to modify it for use in a 6000A tester. I did
the wiring diagram check to see if it could be done, but haven't gotten
around to actually hacking the 6000 island, though.
