A few years ago I was given a sad old SX-28. Somebody had drilled out all 
the tube sockets and floated minature sockets in the holes and tried to 
rewire them. The resulting mess was undescribeable. I parted out the set. 
When I removed the side brackets I found the blue-grey wrinkle paint on the 
inside of them fresh as new. I immediately put them in UV proof plastic 
storage bags and put them up. Now that I have my powder coating equipment up 
and going I may try and match the color. I have a number of wrinkle powders 
available, and can mix them. Might be interesting.
BTW I can powder coat cabinets and other parts. My oven is 9 cubic feet (36L 
x 24 h x 18 d). Have bead blaster for cleaning.
120 colors available. Can custom mix on request.
