would this apply to guitar amps also?

I prefer the tone (sag) of hollow-state rectification, but I know some
people use SS for a bit more snappiness.  Most have a standby (B+)
switch but smaller ones don't.

Also, is it possible to simulate a 5Y3 in a full-wave SS bridge circuit?
I've heard it's possible to imitate sag with a zener diode or a resistor
in the supply, but haven't seen any schematics.
