[Hallicrafters] SX-42 I.F. Transformer Questions

I replaced all the caps in my SX-42's three IF transformers by snugging 
the new silver micas into the integral clamps and using Walthers Goo (a 
"super" rubber cement) to hold them in place and insulate the leads from 
the transformer bracket.  The cap leads -- with heat shrink tubing -- 
are used as new connection points.  The most tedious part of the process 
was re-installing the rebuilt transformers, but it gives one the chance 
to clean up the sometimes messy Hallicrafters factory wiring. 

Think of it as therapy :-) .
