[Hallicrafters] Hallicrafters TW-1000A Portable Eight

A couple of months ago I acquired a TW-1000A from an estate and it is 
in about an 8 out of 10 condition.  I also have seven Zenith 
Transoceanics, so I was interested in comparing the TW against the T-O. 
  Well, in a limited comparison, the TW wins.  It seemed to be every bit 
as good on the BCB and sensitivity on SW bands was better (I use WWV  
on 5, 10, etc. as my measure).  The audio quality was better too.  I 
good receiver.
