[Hallicrafters] SX-28 Capacitor

Hi all,

SX-28 is apart on the bench for recapping and I noticed an added capacitor.
The capacitor does not show on the schematic(SX-28 non-a); nor is there any 
mention of it on the parts list.  It is a 250 pf mica connected in parallel 
with the secondary winding of T6, the first loop AGC transformer. The 
capacitor is not inside T6's can.

The capacitor is not to be confused with C64, a 100 pf mica, which is in its 
correct location from one side of T6's secondary to ground.

Maybe that cap was added to resonate the secondary of T6?  Was that a 
factory modification?
