[Hallicrafters] HT 44 Question

I had the HT-44/SX-117 pair back in the 1960's. The CAL RESET knob on the 
HT-44 is used to zero beat the TX vfo with the rcvr vfo for transcieve 
operation. Don't worry about where the red dot ends up.
