The most memorable QSO I had was on 6 meters CW in the late 1950's from New
England: I had a 5 element beam inside the barn pointed NORTH - and worked
a station in Florida via aurora bounce.
The rig was an International Crystal FCV-2 converter feeding an ARC-5
receiver and a TBS-50 transmitter (which doubled in the 807 final for 6
meters.)
