Roy,
I don't remember where the last place was that I got a price for the 80-MC2M
plug, but it was approximately $15. $5 from RFC is not a bad price.
However, my Allied Electronics catalog lists them for $0.79. Of course,
that was 1968.

where under Connectors .. microphone you will find:
"MP2HK 80-MC2M 2 pin (m) plug (Heathkit)" $5.00
I think $5 is not going to create sticker shock. (If you want sticker
shock, get a quote for the special order UG-970 adapter for the R-390
receiver antenna connection.)
