You are just stubborn---grin. But have fun.
 All of the black things that I have removed and tested show very high
leakage at the operating voltage.and the load of a couple of 1 meg
resistors aka black beauties can load down the avc quite a bit.They also
can upset the bandwidth control, the resistance does lower the Q.
