Interesting to hear that somebody else used to work in video. Over the
years I became aware of a couple of brands of electrolytics to STAY AWAY
FROM. Nichicon & Rubycon. We had many, many failures with these devices.
There are other CON electrolytics out there, and most seem to be in the same
family. Panasonic gear never used them, but just about everybody else did
at one time. Obviously, you'll never see them in older radio gear as OEM,
but Caveat Emptor if you see them for sale.

SX-62 & HT series paint: For the restoral of my two SX-62A's, I used some
auto spray touchup paints, commercially available at nearly any auto-parts
store... mine came from PEP BOYS. The colours were spot on for accuracy.
The brand is PLASTI-KOTE, and the appropriate color numbers are as follows.

Gun Metal Silver / GM-7121, and Gun Metal Grey / 9091-CC

Be aware that these are lacquer and scratch easily - I haven't tried baking
them, rather I carefully wet-sanded, prepped, WHITE primered, and painted in
a WINDLESS area, then "cooked" in the hot SUN. Remember to use breathing
protection!
