[Hallicrafters] Question

I would say the S-38 series and similar simple sets are a good bet for
replica components. Their chassis are fairly open and roomy, so using
restuffed caps is practical. Using original size caps in a more complex
radio like an SX-42 or SX-28 is NOT an attractive proposition. We who
work within the dark, impacted bowels of these sets are very glad that
modern caps (and resistors) are significantly smaller than the old ones.

Restorers of common, easy to service AC/DC broadcast sets -- members of
the various antique radio forums -- should be a fertile market for
restuffed caps.
