[Hallicrafters] sx-28a help

Well, I've been inducted into Hallicrafters now.
I picked up a SX-28A with cabinet in reasonably good shape
HOWEVER:

 - someone gutted the power supply and audio section
   - missing are the obvious 	
  	- electrolytic filter caps
	- pwr supply chokes
	- audio transformer
      - the top left and top right hand knobs on the set

 - gave it a crappy wax job trying to lock in the inductor
   adjustments.


Any suggestions on where to pick up the chokes/audio transformer/knobs?
 - or suitable substitutes.

I could always build a solid state audio but this is almost
heresay given that people seem to rave about the 6v6 audio.

It looks like some of the iron cores may have been lost in the
first RF section (closest to the back).  Could someone tell me
which of these coils have cores or not.


Any good closeups of the bottom of the sx-28a would be much appreciated.
This looks like a really good winter project.....
