What tubes are in the final?  Use of 6146B types can
result in spurious emissions which can definitely
cause the problems that you are seeing.  If you have
one 6146B and the other is a 6146 or 6146A then that
is really asking for trouble.

For the article on the 6146 family of tubes that
appeared in Electric Radio a while back go to either
website that is listed at the end of this message.

Also, there could be problems in the balanced
modulator circuity which could allow the carrier not
to be "nulled".

position.

When I go to VOX mode and speak into the mike I get
