Hi Dave,
I agree.
Brasso is good stuff, also brings up bakelite knobs cabinets and
plastic/cellulose dials etc very well.
I always try brasso before attempting a repaint, sometimes Brasso followed
by something called "Armourall" (for car dash) will transform the not too
badly damaged sets appearance.
