[Hallicrafters] SX-25 metal tuning dial bezel

Hello;

The SX-25 Super Defiant that I am currently working on has a metal main
tuning dial bezel, possibly chrome plated.  The band spread and S-meter are
the typical black plastic.  The serial number and power transformer dates
this unit from February or March, 1941.

Even the Hallicrafters 1941 catalogue shows a black, presumably plastic,
one.  Were there many made with the plated metal cover?
