Thanks, everyone, for your recommendations. I hit three separate chain-store 
booksellers and guess what? No QST!  Perhaps the local distributor went out of 
business?

Or there's a conspiracy to keep me from learning about caps 'n stuff.

So I'll try another route.  "Electronic Genius" is a bit pricey? Maybe for 
Christmas...
