Bill I discovered this "method" by accident. I was painting an SX-111
cabinet with Krylon dove gray (spray can) expecting a smooth gloss finish
but the nozzle was somewhat plugged and out came the perfect "spatter"
pattern for the later radios. I stopped instantly got the SR-400 cabinet
that was striped and waiting. It came out great. I just over sprayed the
splatter coat with a lite from a new can of dove gray. I marked the
splatter can for future use. Not sure if you could duplicate this very
unscientific process but is the best duplication of the texture gray that I
have seen. Good luck 73 Bill KE7KK
