Hardware stores carry slotted round head 10-24 screws
as "stove bolts."  I have used zinc plated ones (not
stainless) and brush-painted them after they are in
place.  They look good.

I prefer, however, to use slotted flat heat or
semi-flat head, aka "countersunk" head, with cup
washers.  Much less chance of damaging the paint on a
panel.  Cup washers are sold by GC Electronics and
many parts houses either carry GC hardware or can
order it.  I think the cup washers come in packs of
ten.  Be sure you get #10 size.
