[Hallicrafters] FW: HT-37

Let me clarify my post a little. I don't need tips on what to do with stuck
slugs. The coils are damaged beyond that point.

I intend to unsolder leads, undo screws, and remove the entire assembly of
2nd mixer and driver coils and replace them with a workable set I will
remove from a stripped chassis I have.

Has anyone out there done that operation and if so what are the pit falls?

I am about to start an ambitious project to replace the mixer/driver coils
in an HT-37. Some of the slugs are stuck in the coil forms. I have tried
and tried to free them to the point where I have damaged the 20M forms to
destruction.

Has anyone removed these coils and have any tips or traps to look out for?

I have a stripped chassis that has a good coil set that I will removed and
use for the replacement.
