[Hallicrafters] SX-42 Price?

I purchased one recently on e-bay for $200.  It is in good condition.
The front panel is very good.  Has all its knobs.  Everything is there,
nothing missing.  A little dirty inside, as the open mesh cover doesn't
really protect the interior.  All the paint is in very good condition
and no rust anywhere.  I did save about $60 by picking it up relatively
locally (3 hour drive).  

I am recapping it now.  It was not operational.  It is oscillating on
all bands.  Got a pair of vintage headphones with it.

I think if you look carefully and buy from someone who is charging a
little on the high side for shipping, won't take paypal, a good deal can
be had if you can pick it up.  Picking it up also tends to eliminate any
issues with damage.

LUCKY, bargain "I-don't-want-to-lug-it-home" hamfest price: $100

Normal Ebay (high) price: $400  (Recent sales were $250, $395 and $540)

Price for one meticulously and totally restored, including panel 
re-finishing and new silk screen: $1500 or more.  (It appears that there

actually are one or two people who can re-silkscreen a panel.)
