Just read this in the New York Daily News as follows.  Reprinted verbatim

Title: Spectacles of Death,

Still more indoor perils, this time for bespectacled people.  Wearing
metal-framed glasses could put you at risk of night blindness or even eye
cancer, warns Pat Thomas, the author of "Living Dangerously: Are everyday
Toxins Making you Sick?"

She claims that metal eyeglass frames can act as focusing antennae for
electromagnetic forces from computers, electric toothbrushes, microwave
ovens, power points, vacuum cleaners and toasters - in fact, pretty much
anything with a plug on it."

What's an OT to do nowadays.  At least she did not include UFO's or
Hallicrafters transmitters directly.  Better get your aluminum foil hat
ready.
