Hi Steve,

I had a similar problem with mine, the fault, so far, is the 120k resistor in 
the screen of the 6AU6 in the 2nd converter went open circuit. The 0.01 
decoupling caps may have gone bad too. 
If you have already taken the chassis from the cabinet checking with an ohm 
meter will  show DC resistance from the tube socket on the top and the screen 
supply. If not around 120k. The real nuisance is then removing the sub chassis. 


Please check recent  postings here as others have had to do the same.
I, too, am replacing everything in the subchassis with higher rated 
components.
