For those of you who are eagerly awaiting the Historic Halligan Radio Project
first installment to arrive - READ on. The rest of you are free to raid the
refrigerator or do whatever else floats your Boat, anchor, that is!

It appears that many of you did "NOT" read the portion of the digital video disk
announcement that mentions what is contained on the DVD. Besides the actual
forty-five minute live video shot on November 18, 1983 in the NYC apartment of
Dr. Max De Henseler, by a cameraman, there are an additional 92 files that
require a computer to view and print. Most of these are in the .tif format, but
a few are MS Word documents and some are .jpg images.

You should be able to play the video on either a stand alone digital video
player or using your computer. However, you will need the computer to view the
text transcripts, article reproductions, images of the Skyrider lineage,
Halligan family photos, photos of Bill at various functions from the David
Sarnoff award ceremony to the United Nations Ham station etc. The images can be
printed.

Because of the overwhelming demand for the use of a stand alone digital player
to view the video portion, and because of the format incompatibility issues
encountered by the video production company in California, I have decided to
produce the product myself. This way I can be as sure as is possible to be sure,
that the video will work both ways! I will put all of the other files on a CD
and include it at my own expense. The only thing on the digital video disk will
be the video itself.

This is the only quick solution that I can think of and I will begin putting it
into operation on Monday November 14th. It is my "hope", NO promises, that I can
get this to some, maybe even all of you, by Thanksgiving.
