[Hallicrafters] Never-dull

My two cents worth:

Another great product for polishing metal is AUTOSOL. See
http://autosol.com/ It's a cream and you only need a tiny bit. I cleaned
an old 22 rifle my grandfather had and it came out looking almost like it
was chromed. It's a German product. If you live in Canada you can get it at
Lordco Auto Supplies.

I don't know of any product that won't leave fine scratches on soft material
(like gold plated objects). They are all abrasive. Even the good liquid
cleaners will often stain. The only thing I know of that can clean that
without staining or leaving very fine scratches is the ultrasound cleaners
that jewelers use to clean rings. Pretty hard to find one that will do
bigger parts.

Best regards to the group.

Never Dull can be purchased at most auto supply stores and motorcycle shops.

I have even seen it on occasion in supermarkets. The stuff works very well
but
basket cases may require some elbow grease.
